Volunteer

In our area there are many unwanted, starving and abandoned animals. Columbus Humane Society is a "last hope" haven for many of these dogs and cats. We are always seeking people who may have a few hours a month to help with the care and placement of these pets. If you can drive a van or write letters or help at fund-raising events we want to hear from you!

Our most pressing need is for volunteers who will schedule one day a month at Petsmart to help us showcase our wonderful pets to the larger population center in Wilmington. Loads of fun! Please call 910-640-3700 or email today

Become a Foster Family

We have a long waiting list of animals who need our help and we are limited by the number of people who volunteer to foster pets in their home. If you love animals but cannot commit to keeping a pet permanently, fostering is a very rewarding alternative. You save a life because it buys an animal time until the right home can be found. You help a pet become more adoptable through socialization and training.
